We are currently working with a fintech startup from Austin in Texas, whom we support in software engineering. Our client can boast of implementation in Latin America market, and new countries/regions planned. If you like to work with us, let us share our need for competences.
As a Lead/Principal Developer (.NET Core), you will report to the Head of Engineering (Poland) and provide technical leadership to development team based in Poland. You will also work closely with the Product Owners and Architects (US) to implement modular, scalable, reliable and cost-effective cloud native applications.
Your daily responsibilities
Guide development team in software development and general engineering practices
Technical mentoring of developers in the team
Work with the team to analyze and estimate backlog and plan development tasks
Participate in scaled agile delivery process: as a team member in Scrum events within the team, as a team representative during scaled Scrum of Scrum meetings
Implement modular, cloud native, dockerized, .NET Core microservices deployed to AWS
Writing testable, scalable and efficient code (including unit tests and automated component tests)
Support Product Owners and Architects in product design
Participate in code review process to ensure application quality, consistency and spread of good engineering practices
Troubleshoot and investigate production technical issues within microservices owned by your team
We need you to have
Strong knowledge and experience in C# and .NET Core (3.1-5)
General knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle and practices, including current industry trends
Leadership skills and experience in leading or mentoring developers
Experience working with NoSQL technology stack
Proficiency in using GIT
Familiar with an Agile development process
Experience developing modular, microservice based, cloud-native applications
Ability to analyze complex functional and business requirements with potential to step into the Architect role
Ability to conduct technical and functional investigation and troubleshooting of complex application problems
Experience working with solutions hosted on public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Basic knowledge of non-functional aspects of solutions (performance, HA, resiliency, security)
Ability to remotely co-operate with stakeholders based in US (TX) & Latin America
Strong time estimation skills, and a track record of achieving deadlines
Would be great if you have
Experience with MongoDB
Experience with event-driven systems
Experience with Web (ASP.NET MVC, Razor) and Frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
Experience with DevOps practices and tooling
Familiar with Docker containers and building .NET Core apps on Linux
Experience using Jira as an Agile development tracking tool
Fintech experience and working with certification/regulatory requirements
